BUSINESS EXCELLENCE: Motel brings family to Grove

October 25, 2018 BY

Elise and Michael relocated from Apollo Bay with their family, where they owned their first motel for seven years.

Riverside Ocean Grove Motel and Cabins located on Wallington Road changed ownership in April 2017, bringing Elise, Michael and their four children to Ocean Grove.

Michael, being from an Italian background, grew up in family businesses and knew he would one day like to pursue this same path.

Prior to motelling, Michael was an IT Engineer for ASIC in Melbourne’s CBD.

Elise spent six years studying at university qualifying her in children’s services and Primary/Secondary teaching, she has a passion for special needs teaching which she still continues to further her knowledge in whenever she gets a chance.

Elise and Michael relocated from Apollo Bay, where they owned their first motel for seven years.

Keeping with tradition, they wanted to continue owning and operating motels but just as importantly raise their children in a country setting.

Ocean Grove seemed a fantastic choice, bringing both country and the coast together.

Transitioning into a new community can be challenging, but it seems Olivia, 10, Jack, 8, Harrison, 6 and Holly, 4, have adapted to their new life fabulously.

Elise and Michael couldn’t be any prouder.

Despite the demands of a 24/7 business, Elise and Michael have given their children every opportunity to be involved in the Ocean Grove community through football, dance, music, swimming and gymnastics and plenty of beach time.

The couple are achieving great things with the motel and continue to grow and improve the business.

Their commitment is evident, to each other, the children and the Riverside Ocean Grove Motel.

Their drive is to provide the highest quality service, terrific atmosphere and a place that people will return too and speak highly of for years to come.
