Now heading into its third year of business, local communications agency Circus Media – which offers services in public relations, digital marketing, content creation and design – continues to go from strength to strength under the direction of owner Carly Post.

After giving birth to her second child in October, the 30-year-old shows no signs of slowing down, set to attend an international marketing conference and open a new office space in 2018.

“This year was absolutely huge for us. Along with signing several new clients and delivering some big campaigns, our team also continues to grow and we’re pretty much bursting at the seams. It’s really exciting considering the business is only three years old,” Ms Post said.

“In particular we’ve added a number of exciting food, wine and lifestyle clients to our portfolio which mirrors Geelong’s thriving restaurant and café culture.

“We’ve had the privilege of working with some of Geelong’s most iconic businesses to deliver their strategic communications and we’re now looking to work with some national, even international clients. I like the idea of being a global agency and I really want my staff to embrace the idea of the digital nomad.”

Carly, who studied a Bachelor of Arts (Public Relations) at Deakin University, remains personally committed to investing in the next generation of public relations practitioners with Circus Media hosting interns year-round and Carly a regular panelist at various Deakin career seminars.

If juggling a successful business with two young children wasn’t enough, she now plans to tackle a Master of Business Administration in her spare time.

“People always ask me how I do it but the truth is, I’m a big nerd and I like being ridiculously busy. I get restless if I don’t have something to study. I’ve also got a long list of things I want to achieve in my career and having an MBA will go a long way in achieving some of them.”
