CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS AT COFFETTI
Coffetti Gelato is set to kick off Christmas in July celebrations by serving up its plum pudding-flavoured ice cream this week.
The Barwon Heads-based artisan store has relaunched this crowd favourite as part of an exciting winter range that also includes lemon curd, burnt butter popcorn and Shiraz.
Co-owner Jessie Coffetti said that she and husband Ottavio, who hails from Bergamo in Italy, hand-churn all their authentic Italian gelato in-store using fresh Australian produce.
“We love to try new things and come up with exciting new creations. We make our gelato on site in Barwon Heads. We eat it, our kids eat it and our friends eat it. We make sure it’s good”
“Lemon curd is a personal favourite; I love all things lemon and I’m pleased that it’s proving to be a hit with customers. Everyone needs to try gelato fresh out of the machine at least once.”
Although the Coffetti team believe it’s never too cold for ice cream, for those who just can’t fathom it, try a famed Coffetti Affogato. This delectable dessert couples authentic Italian coffee with ice cream and you can even try a scoop of your favourite winter flavor with your coffee.
Speaking of coffee, Coffetti is proud to use locally sourced Ocean Grind. From a micro roastary in Jan Juc, Ocean Grind makes a fresh quality blend.
“Ocean Grind focuses on providing fresh quality coffee to homes and cafes. Passionate about coffee and the spectacular coastline. Ocean Grind aims to maximise flavor and minimise impact to the environment.”
Whether on your morning or afternoon stroll around idyllic Barwon Heads, Coffetti Gelato have your treats covered at their store located at 49a Hitchcock Street.
