Coasters set to toast at Leura

December 11, 2017 BY

One of Toast to the Coast’s favourite destinations is readying for a fabulous weekend of food, wine and fun.

Leura Park’s multi-award-winning favourites will be up for tasting alongside new releases and rare back vintages over Saturday and Sunday.

Teaming with guest wineries including Finesse Wines, Jack Rabbit Vineyard and Yes said the Seal, Coasters will be able to enjoy this fantastic range while enjoying live music from Test Pilot Molly performing from noon to 5.30pm on both days.

Those searching for a wine alternative will be happy Flying Brick Cider Co is onsite showcasing their range of naturally crafted ciders; and the “Frose” frenzy launched last year returns, offering up frozen moscato, mojitos and cosmopolitans to all.

Foodies can expect salt and pepper calamari, Bellarine Beef Burgers, freshly beer battered local fish, hand-made chicken and chardonnay sausages, wedges and delicious cheese platters.

The team from Wildings Pantry Essentials will also be onsite conducting tastings and sales of their preserves, relishes and other artisan produce.

Meanwhile, for those wanting to celebrate the Melbourne Cup at a local venue, the Jack Rabbit Vineyard is hosting their annual race day carnival with a big screen.

The “House of Jack Rabbit” ninth annual Melbourne Cup Culinary Carnival on Tuesday encourages guests to dress up, sample premium wines and dine from a select menu with prizes awarded for best dressed.

Alternatively, Flying Brick Cider House will also have a big screen and promenade for those wanting to celebrate the race that stops the nation locally.
