Community mental health and wellbeing services – Bellarine Peninsula Psychology
Bellarine Peninsula Psychology provides mental health and wellbeing services for the community in a boutique clinic in Ocean Grove.
Having worked in elite sport both locally and internationally, Dane Barclay decided to come back to a quieter lifestyle as he set up the clinic in Ocean Grove five years ago.
“Having seen the benefits of accessible mental health, I really value having, expertise accessible in the community where I live,” he said.
“I often reflect that we’re so lucky to live and work here in this part of the coastline of Victoria, so having this unique clinic here on the Bellarine – we see clients who enjoy coming from as far as Melbourne, as well as Geelong and the Surf Coast, and some who check-in internationally.
“The rest of our team, Krystal Bowers, Simon Baxter, Nicole Schulz, Sally McMahon, Sarah Forsythe and Amanda Hawker, are fantastic, caring, highly skilled people and all have varying expertise, working with adults, adolescents, children and couples.”
Providing an empathic and confidential setting for support, knowledge, skills and assessments, the clinic endeavours to see clients who are referred on within a maximum of one week, so your needs can be addressed as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Reflecting on almost a decade of experience as a psychologist, the passion remains for Dane.
“As clinicians, we all strive to get great outcomes for our clients. Our moments of personal pride come when someone is able to overcome their challenges, and improve the quality of their life and relationships.”
