One of Australia’s most beloved musical exports Cut Copy are hoping to create some memorable moments in Barwon Heads next month.
The influential electronic, synth pop and rock band will play at the Barwon Heads Hotel.
The Grammy-nominated and ARIA Award-winning quartet have played more than 1,000 sold-out headline shows spanning several continents.
Cut Copy has gained prime slots at prestigious festivals such as Coachella, Ultra, and Lollapalooza in the US; Primavera in Spain, Pitchfork in Paris; Summer Sonic in Japan; and Big Day Out in Australia.

The global hitmakers are responsible for some of Australia’s top dancefloor anthems including Lights and Music and Hearts on Fire.
Vocalist Dan Whitford said the band couldn’t wait to launch what would become a world tour on the Bellarine.
“We are feeling really good. It’s been a while since we’ve toured, and it’s just crept up and is only a few weeks away.
“Coming from Melbourne, I’ve been to Barwon Heads a few times for a swim, but I’ve also DJ’d down there once before! It’s got a good chill vibe to it… it’s nice and relaxed.
“Ben [Browning] from our band actually grew up in Geelong and played his first ever gig – a battle of the bands down there. It gave him his start and holds a very special place in his heart.”
Cut Copy’s new album Moments will drop next month, with listeners in Barwon Heads the first to hear the band’s freshest material.
“It’s been bubbling away for a while now. We started working on it maybe four years ago when all the pandemic lockdowns were happening,” Whitford said.
“Our previous album is a bit more atmospheric and ambient vibe – this new one takes a bit of that but brings a bit more of a dancefloor and club feel.
“We wanted to create this weird world to exist in and to make it really immersive and take people on a bit of a journey.
“Expect a bunch of new stuff, and plenty of ground being covered from previous eras of the band.”
