DROP FESTIVAL RETURNING TO TORQUAY

December 19, 2018 BY

Last year crowds enjoyed live music, food and entertainment at Torquay’s The Drop Festival which ran in conjunction with the Bell’s Beach surf comp, and next year it’s back again.

The Drop Festival has announced it’s coming back to Torquay on April 20 and returning bigger and better than ever with two new locations on the map.

Coinciding with the iconic Bells Beach Surfing Competition, the festival presented by triplej, brings together big names in music and professional surfing for a celebration of music, surf, community culture and a love of the ocean.

Hitting the shores of the Gold Coast, Torquay and Margaret River again as well as two new locations in Newcastle and Manly, the all ages festival was a massive hit.

Following the waves and endorsing the quintessential Australian road trip, The Drop takes place alongside the three Australian World Surf League tour events at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast, Bells Beach in Torquay and Margaret River in WA; it will also run in conjunction to Surfest Newcastle and the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro in Manly.

The Drop encourages a lifestyle of good food, art, culture and beautiful surrounds to be enjoyed with your favourite people; set within the backdrop of athleticism, drama and adventure of the greatest surfing events on the planet.

Last year’s festival bill included SAFIA, Dune Rats, San Cisco, Holy Holy and Ruby Fields.

Announcing early next year, the line-up for The Drop 2019 includes more of Australia’s biggest names in music, stay tuned and check out thedropfestival.com.
