Want to drink beer on the same day it’s packaged? Blackman’s Brewery has teamed up with 20 Victorian venues to bring beer lovers from around the community the freshest tasting India pale ale (IPA). Kicking off with Blackman’s latest release, Super Hop West Coast IPA, brewers will be up at the crack of dawn as they keg and can beer that will be delivered to venues (including The Barking Dog and Ocean Grove Cellars) by 4pm. HOW MUCH WOOD WOULD A WOODCHUCK CHUCK?
Geelong’s Steampacket Gardens will host Australia’s top 12 Stihl Timbersports athletes as they compete in this year’s Stihl Timbersports Australian Champions Trophy. The event is the sport’s most physically enduring and extreme format which sees athletes compete in four of six Stihl Timbersports disciplines back-to-back. The champion will be the last man standing and will go on to compete for the title of World Champion at the World Champions Trophy in Sweden on May 25. GEELONG SKA FESTIVAL
The Workers Club will play host to “Ska Nation 2019” as it makes its way to Geelong from Melbourne’s Corner Hotel in Richmond. A celebration of ska music – which originated in Jamaica in the 50s – the event will have ticketholders dancing their cares away. Artists will perform across two stages, with the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Los Kung Fu Monkeys (Mexico), The Resignators, The Beatdown (Canada), Kujo Kings and many more scheduled for the line-up.
