MARK LANG AT NEW HALL
Looking for something to do this Friday? The second instalment of Low Light Queenscliff is on every weekend until June 30, bringing the finest arts and culinary talents from around the world in a celebration of all the senses. Friday’s program includes a performance from Australian musician Mark Lang with German artist Lilly Among The Clouds. A renowned lyricist and storyteller, Mark will transform New Hall into an immersive cross-arts experience as part of his Australian launch tour. A DAY OF MARKET SHOPPING
Over 50 stalls filled with new and secondhand clothes, shoes, toys, prams, cots, car seats, highchairs and more will flock to the Barwon Valley Activity Centre this Saturday thanks to the Geelong Baby and Children’s Market group. The first market was held in 2007 and has since become a beloved community event for young and growing families on a budget. About one third of pop-ups are business stalls, with brand new items and original handmade items on offer. Parking at the market is free. Entry for adults is $3 and children attend free. WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?
This Sunday, thousands of people and their fury friends will walk together to show their support for the RSPCA and their tireless work for the animals of Australia. The annual RSPCA Million Paws Walk will take off in 15 locations around Victoria, including Geelong.
