Uniting Church celebrates diversity

The Sacrededge Festival is arriving to the Uniting Church in Queenscliff May 4 kicking off a weekend of activities. From an interactive art space, international dinner, art exhibition, keynote speakers and a variety of children and family programs, the festival once again seeks to celebrate and create an inclusive community through mindfulness. Refugees, LGBQTI wellbeing and sustainability will take centre stage alongside 30 class musicians and presenters including the quartet Mission Songs Project as they explore our indigenous history. Lorne May Music Fest in full swing

The Lorne May Music Festival that kicked off Friday now enters its second day of a three-day program full of fantastic live entertainment. The concept behind the event – to draw crowds to the picturesque Lorne town during the quieter months as a booster for retailers and local businesses- has resulted in a fantastic line-up. Two tickets were given out for free to those who booked two night’s accommodation at the Cumberland, Lorne Hotel or Grand Pacific Hotel over the May 4-6 weekend. To celebrate their new opening hours Mr Grubb at Oakdene is providing free dinners for kids under 12 from their kid’s menu.
