Eyeing The Weekend – October 19, 2017

November 16, 2017 BY

FRIDAY 20/10

The sound of hope

The Hope Song is a new theatre project by local award winning writer Janet Brown, presented by Anglesea Performing Arts and co directed by Iris Walshe‐Howling and Janine McKenzie. The project is in the form of Verbatim Theatre, based on the real words of seven people who have shared their experiences and insights with Janet. The play explores the lived experience of people with mental illness. Each of the seven people interviewed has nominated a song that is meaningful to them, and these will be performed, in part, by community singers during the production. Tonight will be the last performance of the show, starting at 7.30pm. Located at Anglesea Memorial Hall, McMillan Street, bookings can be made at trybooking.com or at the door.
