August 22, 2019 BY

Ungus Ungus Ungus: The Cosmic Carnival will perform at FOPA on Saturday October 5.

LORNE will be awakened by a parade of performance acts this October as its annual Festival of Performing Arts (FOPA) heads for town.

Locked in for October 3-6, this year’s program – which was unveiled last week – features an additional day of exciting shows, street performances and free events.

In a first for the festival, the most celebrated night – the Opening Gala, will be moved to Thursday evening (October 3).

The closing Sunday will serve as a day to unwind with crowd-pleasing highlights including an open mic afternoon and after FO-PArty.

Don’t miss –

Opening Gala

The Wine Bluffs
A comedy wine masterclass with Damian Callinan and Paul Calleja. After intoxicating sold-out audiences across the country, the well-cellared comedians are ready to decant the good stuff, with an interactive, cellar door masterclass featuring a comedic twist at Lorne Hotel View Room on Saturday October 5 from 8.30pm.

FOPA Open Mic
An open mic afternoon where local talents can take the stage while the audience sits back with lunch and a drink at Lorne Hotel Beer Garden on Sunday October 6 from 2.30pm. To register your act by emailing [email protected] before August 31.

As the entertainment extravaganza is set to take place over the school holidays, organisers have added kids activities during Friday and Saturday (day) and “grown-up” shows at night.
