FOPA will be back this year
Lorne’s Festival of Performing Arts (FOPA) is back, with organisers announcing the festival is set to return this year from August 30 to September 2.
The chair of the festival committee, Peter Spring, said a revitalised local steering committee would remount the festival after a year’s hiatus.
“FOPA will feature comedy, cabaret, magic and music. There will be something for all ages, from shows for kids (that grown-ups will love) to shows for adults and a late-night piano bar.
“The full line-up will be revealed later this month, but for now we encourage everyone who loves Lorne to mark the dates in their diary.”
The festival has also launched a FOPA Friend program where locals can show their support for the festival, while at the same time receiving discounts and other benefits.
For $50, FOPA Friends receive:
• Free entry to the festival piano bar on all three nights, including the special launch event on Thursday night
• Discounts across shows
• The opportunity to be the first to secure tickets through an early bird special
• A FOPA Friend badge to wear
• Discounts from participating local restaurant, cafes and accommodation providers.
The FOPA Friends program will be available via fopa.com.au shortly. All proceeds contribute to into helping produce a vibrant festival.
