Geelong inspired drop
Mt Duneed Estate is locally owned and passionate about creating exceptional experiences which is reflected in their latest wine release, the Geelong Range.
Christine Whelan from Mt Duneed said they were excited to release their newest range which utilised local produce and fruit.
“The Geelong Range of wines complement our existing Regional and Single Vineyard Range of wines to bring a local focus to our wine business,” she said.
“Fruit is sourced from local vineyards and made at our winery in Waurn Ponds Geelong. Our Geelong Rose uses estate grown grapes to produce this French style wine.
“The Geelong range will sit in between our Regional Range (made in the Yarra Valley and sourced from Yarra Valley and Heathcote) and our Single Vineyard Range also made and sourced as above.
“We have just released our Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay with an estate grown rose coming in spring, then a Pinot Noir and Shiraz to follow later in the year.”
Ms Whelan said Geelong’s beloved cats came into play when choosing the colours for the logo.
“Our design was to fit in with the rest of our family and designed by Tyson Sheean. It’s a sleek and classy label with the droplet representing the peak of our building falling into a droplet of wine,” she said.
“How could we go past the mighty blue and white as our brand colours?”
Ms Whelan said the wine is currently on sale at their Cellar Door, online soon and hitting restaurants and bars in Geelong.
