Geelong’s mayor to open GBN’s breakfasts for 2018
The Geelong Business Network’s first breakfast forum for 2018 will feature City of Geelong mayor Bruce Harwood.
Mr Harwood, voted into the top job by his fellow councillors in November, will give the keynote address as well as take questions at the event, to be held at the Little Creatures Brewery next month.
In his remarks, Cr Harwood will cover the council’s priorities for the next two years, key features of the 2018 budget, an update on the search for the city’s new chief executive officer (following the resignation of Kelvin Spiller in November) and an overview of the approach to good governance that councillors are taking.
Cr Harwood will be introduced by Gforce Employment Solutions chief executive officer Rob Birch, who will review the rapidly changing business and employment environment in the Geelong region.
The forum will be held at the Little Creatures Brewery, 221 Swanston Street, Geelong, on February 8 from 7.15am for a 7.30am start.
Tickets are $49 per person.
