Get dancing with Dusty
Dusty Springfield’s greatest hits will be brought to life during an exciting tribute show dedicated to Britain’s most famous female pop singer.
Wendy Stapleton is performing The Dusty Springfield Story at the Geelong RSL August 18 where audiences can relive classic hits such as “Son of a Preacher Man”, “Wishin’ and Hopin”, “The Look of Love” and of course “Take Another Little Piece of My Heart”.
Dusty Springfield endured a 35-year career in music because of her unique heartbreaking voice, and her unfailing belief in song writers such as Carol King, Gerry Goffin, Randy Newman, John Kander, Burt Bacharach and Hal David just to name of few.
Wendy starred as Dusty in the original production of I Only Want To Be with You and said she was looking forward to returning to Geelong to perform.
“I love bringing The Dusty Springfield Show to Geelong, they are such a lovely, appreciative audience. Geelong RSL is a great venue to present the show,” Ms Stapleton said.
The Dusty Springfield Story features fabulous musical theatre singer/dancers and musicians and takes you on a colourful journey through all the hits of the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s that made Dusty a household name.
Tickets are $50 for members and $55 for visitors with a two-course dinner included, for tickets for the show only, $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
