Golfers rally for bereaved families
Each year, close to 300 golfers fill the course in support of Hope Bereavement, raising much-needed funds for families navigating grief and loss.
ON Sunday 8 March, the Clifton Springs fairways will once again come alive for one of the Bellarine’s most anticipated charity golf days: the Drysdale Mowers Charity
Ambrose Golf Day at Clifton Springs Golf Club.
For the past five years, the event has been a much-loved fixture on the Drysdale calendar, bringing together golfers, families and local businesses to raise vital funds for Hope Bereavement.
In 2026, out of respect for the family, the club has made the decision to pause the naming of the previous event for 12 months. The heart of the day, however, remains unchanged: community connection, great golf and meaningful fundraising.
Drysdale Mowers has stepped forward as major sponsor, ensuring the day continues with the same energy and generosity locals have come to expect.
In an exciting first, the event expands to a full 18-hole Ambrose format, with two tee times available – 7.30am or 12.30pm – giving even more players the chance to be part of it.

As always, the prize pool is second to none, with over $10,000 worth of prizes up for grabs, widely regarded as the best golf prizes in Geelong.
The major raffle will again be a highlight, with tickets available via TryBooking.

The goal for 2026 is no different: to fill the field, support an important cause and enjoy a fantastic day of golf on the Bellarine.
Entries are filling fast and are available as ‘golf only’ or businesses can secure a sponsorship package by contacting the Clifton Spring Golf Club on 5253 1488.
Gather your team, choose your tee time and be part of a day that continues to make a difference.
