Grapest runners have good fun at inaugural event

Leura Park’s first Grapest Run event on October 6 was a massive hit with over 350 patrons turning up to run, waddle and walk through the vines.

Leura’s Lyndsay Sharp said the sun shone and participants enjoyed either running or waddling their way around the 5km, 10km track or the wine/cider tasting waddle.

“There was live music for two hours and a lovely group of people. There were a lot of fun dress-ups and people had gone to a great amount of effort,” Mrs Sharp said.

“There was a lot of genuine running enthusiasts and a lot of people like the concept of mixing exercise with a fun afternoon. It was fabulous, and we’ve locked it in for October 12, 2019.”
