HelloFoody becomes Bellarine favourite
AS HELLOFOODY approaches one year of serving up quality Indian cuisine to the Bellarine community, the Portarlington business is celebrating its rising popularity and positive reviews.
Operating out of the window of its food truck, HelloFoody has become a popular dining experience for communities in the region, gaining return customers and plenty of five-star reviews.
Chef and owner Andy Sharma said the community have been impressed with the food, leading them to extend their time in the food park.
“We’ve been getting a lot of really good reviews and I am happy to say that we’re one of the very few restaurants in Geelong where we have five stars constantly.”
HelloFoody is Mr Sharma’s first food truck, coming from a background in fine dining in Melbourne’s culinary scene and a takeaway shop in Geelong.
The quality of food is what Mr Sharma believes makes them stand out, providing delicious meals at an affordable price for diners.
“From last year, we’ve been keeping that quality, cooking good food consistently and that’s one thing we do a good job of,” he said.
Many of their reviews also mention the friendly service, commenting on how well customers are received when visiting the food truck.
Mr Sharma said it’s encouraging and humbling to see repeat customers enjoying the Indian food.
“It’s really worthwhile and we feel happy people are so pleased with the food, it gives us the encouragement and motivation to do even better.”
“We’ve been getting people all the way from Ocean Grove, all of the surrounding towns from Drysdale, I think everybody knows about us.”
HelloFoody is located in the food park at Portarlington, offering visitors both indoor and outdoor seating options and open from Tuesday to Sunday.
