Humans and dogs enjoy pawsome day out

November 8, 2017 BY

FOUR-legged friends were out in force during Wallington’s WRG Dog Day Out at the weekend.

The responsible dog ownership day proved very popular among locals on Saturday, offering lots to see and do for the whole family.

There was free face painting for the kids, while Jimmy from Jimmy’s Dog Training was there doing demonstrations and giving training tips.

Wallington’s WRG’s favourite kelpies rounded up sheep and ducks, and Cherished Pets was there with vet Dr Alicia Kennedy doing free microchip checking.

The City of Greater Geelong and Barwon Coast had information on making sure pets were registered properly or any further information people needed.

Owners also entered their pooches in the many competitions to win prizes.

Wallington’s WRG is at 370 Grubb Road, Wallington.
