John Butler trio on way to Leura

November 23, 2017 BY

The John Butler Trio, one of Australia’s most recognised and accomplished roots rock bands, will be bringing their live show to the beautiful surrounds of Leura Park Estate in what promises to be the ultimate afternoon of tunes and chill among the vines this coming March.

They will be joined by New South Wales’ Kim Churchill and divine duo Mama Kin Spender.

John Butler is undeniably the most successful independent artist in Australia. His band, the John Butler Trio, has sold out many performances over the years in Australia and has gone on to take their music worldwide.

Their recent ARIA award winning album Flesh & Blood was released globally in February 2014.

This then took them to sold-out shows in Australia, Europe and North America, then saw them play their largest ever headline ticketed show at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Colorado) in front of nearly 10,000 people.

Meanwhile, those familiar with Kim Churchill’s “Window to the Sky”, which reached number 42 in Triple J’s Hottest 100 in 2014, will recognise signature elements in his new recordings.

Mama Kin Spender is a collaboration between two long-time friends, cowriters and mischief-makers, ARIAnominated Mama Kin and producer Tommy Spender.

Mama Kin Spender’s songs rattle and roll from block party to heart-rending ballad.

This is the first of its kind at Leura Park Estate; a concert guests don’t want to miss.

Make it a date for this ideal Sunday session with some of Australia’s finest artists and musicians.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday) at 10am for the March 18 show at Leura Park Estate.
