KICK YOUR WAY into the New Year
Have you ever wanted to learn taekwondo but been unsure of where to start?
Look no further than Elite Taekwondo. Operating in Geelong for the last 18 years and now with three clubs in Geelong, Torquay and Ocean Grove, the martial arts training facility is run by a passionate team of taekwondo aficionados.
Alistair Lawson, operator of Elite Taekwondo’s Torquay school, began his martial arts journey at the age of six.
Determined to pass on his knowledge about the art to his students, Lawson uses a goal-setting approach out of his full-time studio.
“Our club is such a family friendly place to train and our whole system covers absolutely everything,” Mr Lawson said.
“Over each term we cover self-defence, technique work, patterns, sparring drills and concepts in our sparring classes.”
Mr Lawson says some of the key areas he covers in his classes include setting and achieving goals, being disciplined in training and how to become focused.
“We also train fitness, flexibility, agility and fun fitness style classes including kicks, flips and ninja trick,” he added.
“Memberships are flexible and cater for everyone by offering so many classes six days per week.”
Enjoying a boasting number of state and national champions along the way, the martial arts club is making its mark on the taekwondo world.
Taekwondo classes begin on Wednesday January 30.
