STYLE will meet surf next week, when the Torquay Taphouse hosts Coastal Runway, a showcase of some of the region’s most exciting fashion labels.
International clothing label Araminta James, whose creator Georgie Brown made the shift to Torquay 12 months ago, will join Alba del Sole, Zerafima, The Ease Label, We The Stars, Kingston Jewellery, Eyewear on Pako and more for the one-off runway event on September 13.

“We’re really lucky to be surrounded by such a creative community, and so many people have their own little small business, and this is a great way to showcase it,” Taphouse owner Renae Ranger said.
“The Taphouse is a big, beautiful space, and I think it’s really versatile and can be used for so many different things. I’m just really excited to see it come alive with a runway.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with the creatives behind the participating fashion labels, “shop the look” at the event’s pop-up shop and enjoy a sneak peek at some of the new collections dropping this spring.
“There’ll be drinking, eating and a DJ and dance floor to follow,” Ranger said, encouraging the community to gather their friends, dress up and come along with soak up the atmosphere and connect with like-minded individuals.

Tickets are $40 and include a cocktail on arrival and a showbag filled with local goodies.
VIP Booths with reserved seating in a prime position are also available and include a bottle of bubbles for the table and a grazing board to share.
With tickets selling quickly, Ranger advises those keen to come along to get in early.

Torquay Taphouse is at 27 Baines Crescent. Doors open at 4pm.
