MEN IN BLACK GOOD FUN

June 19, 2019 BY

If a fictional organisation like the Men in Black is responsible for defending Earth against the scum of the universe, surely they wouldn’t just have offices in New York.

Men in Black: International follows new MIB agent, M (Tessa Thompson), who is sent on assignment to the organisation’s London branch.

Paired up with star agent, H (Chris Hemsworth), the pair wind up tangled in a dangerous plot that involves the unthinkable: a mole in MIB.

One of the things I really liked about this film is that it is a spin-off.

We’ve seen in the previous films of the franchise that there are plenty of agents within MIB, so it makes sense to see the stories of these other agents.

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson also make really good leads, as they have great chemistry with one another, allowing their characters to easily bounce off each other.

The globe-trotting was another additional aspect that was highly enjoyable. Our characters visit not only London, but Marrakesh, Naples and Paris, helping to further separate it from previous Men in Black films.

There was an underlying mystery throughout the film which I’ll admit I had fun trying figure out. During each scene, I was trying to piece together what was going on and had fun postulating theories in my head.

As always, there were some really cool alien creature designs and wicked alien technology on display.

Some of the alien villains were particularly freaky looking and had some pretty cool superpowers to boot.

While other reviews have proclaimed this film is pointless, I really enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun and I’m sure you will too.
