Park set to turn pink this weekend
STEP into Life Ocean Grove will turn the park pink this weekend to help support the McGrath Foundation.
A Pink Super Session Day will be held at Ocean Grove Park, corner of Presidents Avenue and The Avenue, this Sunday (October 15) from 8am to 9.30am.
All money raised will help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities’ right across Australia and increase breast health understanding and awareness.
Event organiser Penny Tomkinson said everyone at Step into Life was excited to turn pink, get active in the fresh air and support the McGrath Foundation.
“Get involved by dressing up in pink and participating in a fun training session where you will play games, and experience few different Step into Life training programs, like cardiomax, toneup and boxkick to name a few.
“Prizes on offer for the best dressed.”
McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director Tracy Bevan said the organisation was proud to have funded 117 McGrath Breast Care Nurses working nationally who, together, have supported more than 50,000 families going through breast cancer.
“Events like this are truly helping us to make a difference; we couldn’t do it without you.”
