Domino’s Torquay is gearing up to go green and introduce electric pushbikes to their delivery fleet this week, providing an environmentally friendly and carbon-free delivery option.

Domino’s Torquay franchisee Anil Pola said the transition to electric bikes was part of Domino’s commitment to reduce its impact on the environment, be a good community partner and get staff more active during deliveries.

“not only do the pushbikes help the environment, they also reduce noise in the area and provide a fun, safe and active away for us to deliver pizza to our customers,” Anil said.

“Our pushbikes have been designed and modified for our delivery needs, ensuring our drivers can safely deliver piping hot pizzas while doing our bit for the environment.

“All of our delivery experts are kitted out with safety equipment including high visibility vests and helmets with safety always the number one priority.”

Anil said they are looking for riders to join the team as it not only provides a great way for staff to have fun and keep fit while on deliveries but also decreases average delivery times for the store.

“By riding through parks using bike paths, avoiding traffic by cycling on the footpaths and reducing the need to find a parking spot, our deliveries are becoming faster and our customers are getting fresher, hotter pizza.”

many Domino’s stores have made the change to electronic pushbikes in a move to increase efficiencies in delivery times and reduce impact on the environment.

“Anyone looking to join the team and gear up to push some pedal power and deliver pizzas to locals should apply online or come and introduce themselves in store.”
