QMF fires up for 2019

The good news from Queenscliff Music Festival event organisers continues to roll, with a highly localised third line-up unveiled to anticipators last week.

This year’s festival bill features the most amount of kids entertainment in QMF’s history, giving children the chance to enjoy free entry (13 years and under), complementary carnival rides, and an exciting selection of musical acts including Play School’s Justine Clarke, The Mik Maks, The Vegetable Plot and Tiptoe Giants.

Poignant punk poet Alana Wilkinson, who supported Clare Bowditch at this year’s Low Light Queenscliff, is leading the stellar line-up of female artists who are set to take the stage this November.

Thirty-piece all-female Geelong band the Sweethearts will deliver explosive energy in their live show which is a celebration of soul, funk and blues. Armed with an electric guitar, emerging Geelong artist Momoko Rose has been welcomed to the QMF family.

But the local talent doesn’t stop there. The festival’s 2018 Emerging Artist Grant recipient Fenn Wilson will return following his acclaimed debut single, Eye on You, as he launches his debut album Ghost Heroin on the Bellarine.

Torquay’s Immy Owusu will showcase his Ghanaian roots on his journey to find meaning as a multi-instrumentalist, mixed-race performer. Also making their QMF debut is Surf Coast rockers The Ethan Farmer Band.

The 23rd QMF will run from November 22-24. The third line-up announcement includes Above the Bit, Alana Wilkinson, Cooper Lower, The Ethan Farmer Band, Fenn Wilson, Hoop Fusion, Immy Owusu, Isabella Khalife, Justine Clarke, Marimbataters, Momoko Rose, Nathan Seeckts, Nic Dacomb and the Bebop Circus, Sarah Caroll and Shannon Bourne, Surreal McCoy, Sweethearts, Tides of Welcome, Tom Richardson, The Mik Maks, The Vegetable Plot, Tiptoe Giants, Vince Peach, and Yoga Loves Music.
