Relax and be styled at Salon SOH

BOUTIQUE seaside business Salon SOH aims to make its customers as comfortable as possible.

The space in Torquay has been created as a relaxed, open and bright salon, and owner Michelle Carroll has extensive experience in the hairdressing industry.

Located in Bell Street, Salon SOH offers one-on-one appointments and has been open for about four months.

“My intention is for it to be a calm space, where nothing’s rushed, and everyone’s done with intention; a nice experience,” Ms Carroll said.

Ms Carroll has been working as a hairdresser both in Melbourne and locally for 37 years.

“My aim is to have all-round services, and as soon as the client walks in the door, it’s an experience,” she said.

“I want people to feel calm, and not rushed, and enjoy their time with me.”

Salon SOH has fully reclining massage chairs, beautiful products, and a extensive drinks menu.

Summer has just begun, but Ms Carroll said there would not be a dramatic change in hairstyles with the change of seasons.

“Not particularly; it’s pretty steady.

“It’s really about the client and offering what’s going to be suited to them, and what’s going to be suited to their lifestyle.”

Salon SOH clients may also notice Lucy the Pomeranian lazing about somewhere in the space.

“She’s my salon mascot: she’s with me all the time,” Ms Carroll said.
