Seniors Month with the Drysdale & District Senior Citizens Club

DRYSDALE & District Senior Citizens Club is a vibrant and welcoming community hub serving seniors across the Bellarine Peninsula.

The club’s mission is to improve the wellbeing and social engagement of its members. Rooted in a spirit of connection and care, the club provides social engagement through inclusive programs, meaningful friendships, and enriching activities. The club believes staying socially active and connected is key to living well. The club warmly welcomes anyone aged 50 and over to become a member. Adults 18+ are also welcome to join.

Many activities are on offer, ensuring the club’s programs remain diverse, dynamic and intergenerational.

The clubhouse is proudly located within the Drysdale Community Hub, offering comfortable, accessible facilities that support everything from workshops and games to social gatherings and wellness sessions.

Whether you’re looking to make new friends, learn something new, or simply enjoy a welcoming space, the Drysdale Senior Citizens Club is here to help you thrive.

A new activity will take place on Thursday, October 2 from 1pm until 4.30pm. It will feature an afternoon with board games, cards, and a sit and chat for Seniors Month. This is to give seniors a place to socialise have fun and enjoy one another’s company.

Games will include 500, Canasta, Bridge, Chess, Draughts. Those who would like a quiet personal activity, are invited to sit and chat.

The City of Greater Geelong has sponsored the event for Seniors Month, and will become an ongoing activity, running every Thursday

from 1pm. On October 31, Drysdale & District Senior Citizens Club is inviting new and existing members to join its Indoor Bowls Group from 12.30pm to try the sport.
