Seventh Meadow announced

December 5, 2019 BY

Frankie Cosmos are returning to Australia for the first time in three years to play at next year’s Meadow festival.

Taking up residency in the idyllic surrounds of Bambra, regional music festival Meadow (previously By The Meadow) returns for its seventh season of music this March.

From March 27-29, the Bambra Bowl will come alive with the sounds of Frankie Cosmos, Elizabeth and Surprise Chef.

While the full line-up will be announced early next year, festival organisers have promised a musical feast that will appeal to every set of ears.

Three years since the New York four-piece last toured Australia, Frankie Cosmos (led by Greta Kline) will take to the festival stage on March 28 to deliver a dreamy live performance.

Coming off the back of this year’s acclaimed 21-song record Close it Quietly, audiences can expect a fast-moving flurry of two-minute pop songs.

Following the release of Aussie band Totally Mild’s albums Down Time and Her, frontwoman Elizabeth Mitchell will jump on the Meadow stage for her third appearance at the Bambra Bowl.

Returning as her namesake solo project ‘Elizabeth’, Mitchell and her seven-piece female band will grace the hills with cinematic pop.

Melbourne instrumental outfit Surprise Chef consolidated their fan base with this year’s release All News Is Good News.

Locked in for Meadow’s Friday night set, the group are set to intoxicate the crow with their soul fused inclinations.

A limited release of tickets are now on sale at the discounted price of $165+BF.

Glamping options are also available, and teenagers (accompanied by adults) can attend for the first time. Children under 12 can attend free. Tickets available until January 14 (unless sold out beforehand) via meadowmf.com.

Meadow 2020 will run from March 27-29.
