Special guest joins Give Geelong Breakfast

February 29, 2024 BY

Em Rusciano will be the keynote speaker at this year's Give Geelong Breakfast.

THE Give Geelong Breakfast returns in 2024 with a special guest set to join the event later this month.

The event is part of the Give Geelong Appeal, with all proceeds from the breakfast going to the Give Where You Live Foundation.

Australian comedian, performer and media presenter Em Rusciano, will take the stage as the keynote speaker for this year.

She has a wide range of talent and experience, including co-hosting a radio breakfast show, selling out the Sydney Opera house with her comedy performances, hosting popular podcasts and more.

Recently she has also shared her ADHD and autism diagnosis with a presentation to the National Press Club, becoming an advocate for neurodivergent people.

Give Where You Live Foundation chief executive officer Bill Mithen said his organisation was looking forward to hosting Ms Rusciano, and encouraged the community to support the event.

The breakfast is part of the annual Give Geelong Appeal, running from March 15 to 22.

Over the week, the foundation is asking the community to dig deep and get behind the appeal.

“Your support of the breakfast during the Give Geelong Appeal will have an immediate and local impact,” Mr Mithen said.

“It will support people in our community facing long-term unemployment, help to improve the lives of people facing homelessness and support families struggling to put food on the table.”

The foundation exists to build a fairer more equitable community across the Geelong region, helping people and places thrive, with a focus on food security, homelessness, and inclusive employment.

Tickets are on sale now, with the breakfast taking place in the Presidents’ Room at GMHBA Stadium on March 21 between 7-9am.
