Steve Poltz set to play at The Sound Doctor
Musicians will take the stage in Anglesea at The Sound Doctor for another year of music, with the opening weekend featuring Steve Poltz and Mia Dyson.
Poltz is returning to Australia with his rock style later this month.
The US folk festival performer has a talent for storytelling, comedy and making music, brining these attributes together makes this more than your usual gig.
He has been a huge hit playing at local events in the past, including the Port Fairy Folk Festival and the Queenscliff Music Festival.
His music appeals to a range of fans with followers including fellow musicians, regular folks and festival goers that wander into his performances.
He released his debut album One Left Shoe in 1998 and his most recent album Stardust and Satellites in 2022.
Australian audiences might know him for co-writing “You Were Meant for Me” with Jewel, which went multi-platinum and reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Poltz will perform in Anglesea on March 22, starting his Australian tour.
Dyson is also performing at the opening weekend in a sold-out show on March 23.
She moved to the Surf Coast when she was eight and has just released her new album Tender Heart, which explores the themes of love, death and transformation.
She is a multi-awards winning artist and will being her new songs to the stage for the first time, along with some favourites from her more than 20 years in the music industry.
Emerging local artist Ella Sweeney will support Dyson.
