Take a leap into dance class

January 22, 2018 BY

Dance Initiative Productions (DIP) offers opportunities for young students to experience dance in a creative, innovative and professional environment through dance classes and community performance opportunities.

DIP was founded by artistic director Sally Pearson in 2010 and continues to inspire and nurture new skills and personal development in students on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Classes are instructed by highly experienced children’s dance instructor Miss Georgia.

“We invite new students to join our friendly and supportive dance community,” Sally said.

“We look forward to helping each individual enrich their world through dancing by learning fundamental dance techniques and performance skills, as well as building self-confidence in the dance studio.

“Through dancing with DIP, our students have achieved personal heights and an appreciation for the performing arts. Each year we celebrate our student’s success at the Potato Shed Theatre in our end-of-year concert.”

Dance classes are held on Wednesday mornings at the Potato Shed Studio in Drysdale and Wednesday afternoons at the Leopold Hall along the Bellarine Highway.

The DIP 2018 timetable for children includes movement to music, fairy ballet, kids dance, creative dance and mindfulness, and jazz ballet.

Enrolment day is on Saturday January 27 at the Potato Shed Studio from 10am to 11am and Leopold Hall from 12pm to 1pm to secure a position for 2018 and meet the dance teachers Miss Sally and Miss Georgia.
