Ocean Grove’s Parade Espresso Bar won two awards at this year’s Golden Plate Awards.

Ocean Grove’s Parade Espresso Bar has been declared the Best Coffee and Best Unlicensed Cafe in Regional Victoria at this year’s Golden Plate Awards (GPA) on November 12.

A full house of Regional Victoria’s top culinary achievers attended the event held at Flying Brick Cider House to celebrate Regional Victoria’s outstanding food and wine scene.

The GPA gives evidence-based recognition hospitality excellence within Regional Victoria; reviews are conducted without notice, over several months, by two rounds of expert judges at restaurants, hotels and cafes the public feels should be recognised.

GPA judges consider all key factors including food quality and presentation, menu choices, use of local produce and wines, beers and ciders, customer service, coffee, tea, value for money and ambience.

Owner of The Parade Espresso Bar Eugenio Houston said they were extremely proud to walk away with two awards.

“We are so proud to let you all know that we won State Winner Best Coffee and State Winner Best Unlicensed Café at this year’s Golden Plate Awards,” he said.

“The most important people I should thank are our loyal customers, I’m grateful beyond words for the constant community support and recognition. I also wouldn’t be anywhere without my committed staff and suppliers; you guys are the heart of the business.”
