The Wolfe Brothers on their No Sad Song tour.

Tassie band’s rise to the mainland

Country rockers The Wolfe Brothers are showing no signs of slowing down as venues across the country prepare to host the three-piece outfit on their No Sad Song tour.

The Tasmanian trio, who will play at Geelong’s Gateway Hotel in January, took home a string of wins at the Golden Guitars earlier this year which set the tone for the months that followed.

The “Ain’t Seen It Yet” singers scored four gongs from their five nominations at this year’s awards, including Group of the Year, Song of the Year, Cotemporary Album of the Year for Country Heart and the coveted Album of the Year accolade.

What’s even more impressive is the band’s rise to the top. For years they played at the pubs and party scene around Tassie to earn their stripes.

But it wasn’t until their stint on Australia’s Got Talent that their talent was noticed on the mainland.

The Wolfe Brothers were the first band to make the finals and the first act to achieve such a milestone by showcasing original material.

Their fourth album Country Heart – which features the single “No Sad Song” – earned the group an ARIA nomination for Best Country Album in 2018 and debuted on the ARIA Charts at #9.

Lead single “Ain’t Seen It Yet” was also nominated as a finalist in the APRA Awards for Country Song of the Year in 2019.

Tickets to The Wolfe Brothers’ show at Geelong’s Gateway Hotel on January 11 are available now via liveatyourlocal.oztix.com.au.
