FOR more than five decades, Aussie band the Angels have toured the world, produced several hits and after celebrating their 50th anniversary last year, are hitting the road again.

Their coming Go For Broke tour celebrates the band’s past present and future, with their string of performances including a gig in Torquay on July 4.

The band presently comprises Rick, Sam, Tom and John Brewster and Nick Norton, who toured across Australia with a celebration tour in 2024.

Band member John Brewster said last year was really special.

“And that was down to all our fans who made the 50 Not Out tour one to remember.

“But I really feel this is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Angels.

Throughout their tour, the band will take to the stage with some of their old classics including Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, No Secrets, Comin’ Down and more.

New songs off their most recent album Ninety Nine, will also ring out across the tour, including the releases’ first single Ninety Nine (Go for Broke).

“It refers to the fact that 99 per cent of us have to accept our lot, while the one per cent take the lion’s share,” Norton said.

“The super-rich are richer than they’ve ever been.”

Special guest Disgraceland will join the band on tour.
