There’s a blue buzz about next Chicken Shop show

tHE OCEan Grove Chicken Shop is serving up another crowd favourite when the Hornets, one of Melbourne’s favourite blues bands, arrives in town.

this Saturday crowds can enjoy hits from some of the country’s well-known and respected musicians who make up the band.

Bandmembers include singer/songwriter Craig Horne, guitarists Jeff Burstin (from the Black Sorrows, Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons) and Wayne Burt (Jo Jo Zep), bassist Wayne duncan (daddy Cool), drummer Chris tabone (Bad Loves), and Bruce Haymes (the Paul Kelly and renee Geyer bands) on keyboards.

The band, which can appear as a duo, trio, four-, five- or six-piece, has become a regular fixture on australia’s blues and roots music scene for close to a decade.

They have released six Cds to rave reviews and have gained a regular following of devoted fans as a result of their many incendiary live performances.

Touted by the age as, “the best blues band in Melbourne”, and a band described by the Herald Sun as one that “demanded attention”, crowds are guaranteed a night of incredible sound and performance.
