Thomas and the Easter Bunny on track at Bellarine Railway

RIDES on Thomas the Tank Engine, fundraising trips and a visit from the Easter Bunny are exciting activities taking place at the Bellarine Railway this school holidays.

Thomas the Tank Engine will be at the Queenscliff Station, along with Sir Topham Hatt, Oliver, Henry, Salty and those Troublesome Trucks, on April 13 and 14.

Event tickets include unlimited truck rides with Thomas, one 45-minute return train ride with a Friend of Thomas at either 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, or 2.30pm and our guest attraction for April will be a Twirling Tea Cup Ride.

There is also the chance to blow Henry’s whistle, listen to stories about Thomas, competitions, photo opportunities galore and more!

The Bellarine Railway will then be holding its annual fundraising trips on Good Friday, to help raise much-needed funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Visit the Queenscliff Station on Friday April 19 and take a scenic train ride along Swan Bay to Lakers Siding and return. The train will depart Queenscliff Station on the hour from 11am until 3pm and each return trip is 45 minutes.

Proceeds from the day’s takings will be donated to the Good Friday Appeal.

The Easter Bunny will then visit the Bellarine Railway on Easter weekend and has arranged some great activities, along with the all-important Easter Egg hunt!

Hop on-board one of the special carriages on April 20 and 21 for a 45-minute train ride beside picturesque Swan Bay to Lakers Siding. Activities also feature ‘Bunny Spotto’ and an Easter Bonnet parade both with prizes to be won.

Children are encouraged to create their own Easter Bonnet at home and bring them along to join in the parade and receive a certificate.

Make sure you bring the camera to capture the memories. This family special depart Queenscliff Station at 1.30pm.

These events are held at Queenscliff Station, 20 Symonds Street (bottom of Hesse Street). Online bookings are recommended and tickets available at the gate unless sold out prior.
