Warralily is arrr-right me hearties

A Pirates and Fairies event was held at Mirambeena Park on Warralily Blvd last Sunday as part of the Warralily Summer Spectacular, which is on until January 31.

Attendees were invited to put on their best dress-ups and head down for a huge afternoon of rides, food trucks and live entertainment.

Magical fairies were busy running fabulous kid’s activities; while The Mik Maks performed their rocking kids’ songs in their favourite pirate hats.

Highlights of the event for guests was the huge inflatable adventure pirate ship and playing on the bungee ropes.

Event manager Ben Stewart said the day went really well with more than 1,000 people in attendance across the day.

“It was a very family-orientated atmosphere with lots of prams and laughing kids,” he said.

The night ended with an animated twilight movie, The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
