A sweet way to share kindness this Christmas
Beloved local singer and appeal ambassador, Kim Cooper, is encouraging others to support the Meli Giving Tree Appeal this year.
LOCAL organisations, schools, kindergartens and individuals are sharing kindness this festive season through the Meli Giving Tree Appeal – a Christmas tradition that brings hope and dignity to those facing hardship.
Running until 9 December, the appeal – presented in partnership with The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre – raises vital funds to support local children, families and individuals during what can be a challenging time of year.
Now in its 25th year, the Giving Tree Appeal has grown from a humble toy drive to a powerful community movement that provides dignity, choice and hope to thousands of people each year.
Anyone can get involved – workplaces, community groups and individuals alike – by fundraising or making a one-off donation.

This year, there’s an even sweeter way to show your support.
On Tuesday, December 2, a free event at the Paddock Bakery, located in the Federal Mills precinct, will be held to raise funds for the Meli Giving Tree Appeal.
The event includes live music, face painting, Christmas tree decorating and more from 10am to 1pm. There’s also a special deal on offer: purchase a Christmas cookie and large coffee for $10, and $5 will be donated to the appeal.
Beloved local singer and appeal ambassador, Kim Cooper, is excited to lend her voice to the cause and she’s encouraging others to help.
“The work Meli does is so important, and I am so thrilled I can use my voice to support this incredible appeal,” she said. “Everyone deserves to experience a little magic during the festive season, so please consider donating if you can.”
Make this Christmas brighter for local families. Donate today at meligivingtree.org.au and help bring hope and joy this festive season.
