AUSTIN’S Wines are set to showcase the best of local producers in the Moorabool Valley region with their latest project.

The Moorabool Valley Wine Club will be launching on May 15 in collaboration with local wineries and other producers to give a taste of the region.

Known for its cool climate wines on rich limestone soils, the Moorabool Valley is set to go national with head of marketing Belinda Austin confirming the project has been in the works for a number of years.

“It was meant to be launched last year but the lockdowns put the plans on hold,” she said.

“We are really excited to be able to launch the first wine club of its kind which includes neighbouring wineries and food producers into shipments to tell the stories of regional producers.”

Ms Austin said the project emphasises the importance of supporting local.

The first collection will be in collaboration with Lethbridge Wines and Moorabool Valley Chocolates who will be hand making chocolates using shiraz produced at Austin’s Wines.

“We believe in community over competition and the power of collaboration,” she said.

“This is especially true when it comes to wine region awareness, if we can spread the love and the awareness of our Moorabool Valley region, then we all win.

“We can’t wait for people to discover the hidden treasures we live amongst.”

Shipments will be available Australia-wide every three months to all those subscribed to the Moorabool Valley Wine Club.

Subscribers will have their choice of three Austin’s Wines products as well as a mystery bottle from a local winery and a food item produced in the region.

“The subscription-based model is available as it helps us lower our costs to provide a premium offering at great value,” she said.

“We are offering a special welcome pack for the first 50 subscribers that is valued at $120 which includes a bottle of wine, two etched Plumm wine glasses and a tasting with Dwayne, our winemaker.”

Memberships will be offered with no minimum subscription periods and cancellation available at any time.

“We are ready to pop the bubbly and have a good celebration when it launches,” Ms Austin said.

“It feels like it has been a long time coming.”

The first collection will be available from May 15. To register your interest, head to Austin Wines’ website.
