All aboard the story train, it’s coming to Drysdale
LOCAL primary school children will board a steam train at Drysdale next month to experience a special story time.
Run by the Geelong Regional Libraries, the train will carry students and teachers from Drysdale station to Queenscliff and back.
Along the way, the children will hear stories from the library’s six specialist children’s and youth services librarians.
To add to the atmosphere, the storytellers dress in costumes appropriate to the theme of the day’s stories.
The event aims to engage and delight young children while engendering a love of reading and literacy.
The story train will run on Friday March 2.
