THE Borough of Queenscliffe has completed works to restore access to one of its beaches.

Large rocks moved by storm activity were obstructing people from using the stairs and ramp at Springs Beach in Point Lonsdale.

The borough closed the beach late last month and used heavy equipment to relocate the rocks away from the stairs and ramp.

Located next to the Golightly Park and Royal Park campgrounds, the beach is “perfect to cool off after a walk along the adjacent Point Lonsdale Promenade”, according to the borough’s website.

Earlier this week, a borough spokesperson said other beach works in the pipeline at the moment were repairs to the ramp at Dog Beach and investigations into options for the future of Rip View stairs.
