Adventure Park to glow for Christmas light festival

ADVENTURE PARK is set to glow over the next month as Victoria’s largest Christmas lighting event makes its way back to Bellarine for its fifth edition.

The Christmas Festival of Lights event kicked off on Friday evening with more than 300,000 new lights and a full lineup of entertainment to dazzle everyone into the festive spirit.

The annual festival brings the magic of Christmas and fairy tales to life with three million lights, a thousand spectacular light installations, live performances, Santa, theme park rides and much more.

This year, organisers have added a new Christmas animatronic show, six massive new light installations and an entertaining high-flying Elf Trapeze show.

Adventure Park managing director Bree Salmon said the feelings of festivity were already in the air.

“Creating new, mind-blowing experiences for visitors each year is the main goal for us when planning each year’s event.

“This year guests can expect to see more beautiful and immersive light installations they can walk through and capture those epic photo moments. Kids will be delighted with the new displays providing hours of Christmas themed entertainment.”

Santa will return to the park once again and families can have professional photos taken.

Children can post letters destined for the North Pole and also enjoy eight of the park’s theme park rides which will be open.

The South Barwon Salvation Army will also be ones not to miss as they sing Christmas Carols on Friday and Saturday evenings.

“We see so many people return year after year to see the Christmas lights and visit Santa as part of their annual tradition,” Ms Salmon said.

“It’s such a magical place and we can’t wait to show our own kids all the new things this year.”

Tickets are limited for each night, and many nights usually sell out.

The Christmas Festival of Lights will operate from 6-10.30pm from Friday, November 17 to December 24.

After Christmas, opening hours will be 6.45pm-10.30pm from Boxing Day (December 26) to New Years Eve (December 31).
