QUEENSCLIFF families are in for a treat this April school holidays, with the Bellarine Railway rolling out a packed program of steam train adventures.
Beginning on Good Friday, 3 April, the railway will host a series of Good Friday Appeal trips that will raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Hourly departures between 11am to 3pm offer 45-minute return trips from Queenscliff Station to Lakers Siding, with a 15-minute stop to soak in the scenery.
The Easter weekend will bring extra magic to the railway on 4-5 April, with 60-minute services featuring a visit from the Easter Bunny at Lakers Siding. There will be chocolate treats and the opportunity to take photos.

For a more relaxed outing, the Swan Bay Express will run on April 6, 7, 9, 14, 16, 25 and 26. These 45-minute scenic trips include a 15-minute stop at Lakers Siding, where visitors can watch the locomotive swap ends.
A highlight for younger train fans is Day Out with Thomas on 11 and 12 April. The music-themed event will feature Thomas and Friends characters alongside hands-on activities, games, stories and meet-and-greets with Rusty, Dusty and Sir Topham Hatt.
Thomas will return later in the year for another weekend of festivities, more details will be released closer to the event.

All trips depart from Queenscliff Station at 20 Symonds Street.
With heritage steam trains maintained by a dedicated volunteer team, sweeping bay views and plenty of Easter cheer, the railway is offering a memorable holiday outing while supporting a good cause.
