Almost 600 participants take part in classic fun run

THE Sheepwash Classic celebrated 40 years at the weekend when hundreds of locals hit the sand for Barwon Heads Primary School’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Co-ordinator Sarah Jackson said the event on Easter Saturday attracted a great turnout and perfect weather.

“I noticed we had more spectators this year which is nice,” she said.

“We had over 600 registered and just under 600 ran.”

Ms Jackson said the 40th Sheepwash Classic fun run featured an 8km run and 4km run/walk.
