Art show proves a success despite weather

THE Barwon Heads Art Group once again experienced a very successful art show over the Melbourne Cup long weekend.
Convenor Dorothy Van Dorp said adults looked at the paintings and the painting demonstration, while children learnt how to paint with string, cotton buds, chain and straws.
“Even though the weather wasn’t nice to us it was a great weekend had by all,” she said.
The Melbourne Cup Weekend Art Show 2019 was held over four days at the Barwon Heads Senior Citizens Centre.
