APPLICATIONS are now open for artists keen to make their mark at the 2024 Queenscliff Music Festival.

The 26th edition of the volunteer-run festival will take place from November 22-24 and feature more than 100 live acts, entertainers and activations.

Event organisers are looking for a wide range of musical talentss, excluding cover/tribute bands, EDM and metal.

Applicants must have an internet presence with streaming audio and be willing to play a minimum of three to four shows and typical sets of 45-75 minutes.

Main stage acts, however, will normally only perform one show.

Comedy acts are also sought after, particularly musical comedy, and children and family entertainers are also welcome to apply for outside or inside performances.

Festival director Andrew Orvis said he hoped to unearth some fresh and talented musicians for 2024.

“We are looking for anything and everything, the weirdest, and most wonderful things that pop up.

“We are hoping to obviously find the next big band. Over the years, many have come through and been a highlight of QMF and then gone on to bigger things.

“We are always on the lookout, that also goes for great local bands. We love a good local from the region, so that’ll be another focus.”

Mr Orvis said organisers were working through feedback from last year as they look to hit another winner in 2024.

“We are refining and making a few minor tweaks to the program to make it even better.

“This will be our 26th year, so it’s just about improving as we go.

“Most of the feedback was overwhelmingly positive which was terrific, and we will be hoping for more of the same later this year.”

Applications close on March 31 at 11.59pm.

The first acts are slated to be announced in June.
