The recently refurbished Palais Geelong is bringing together three well-renowned Australia comedians this month for one night only.

On Thursday August 25, grab a drink with friends in the new foyer bar, then take your seat in the beautiful historic ballroom as comedic veterans Pete Helliar and Dave O’Neil, hosted by up-and-coming Evan Hocking, make it their mission to get you laughing.

Since his first appearance on TV screens as a core cast member on the Logie Award winning Rove back in 1999, Helliar has been selling out stand-up comedy shows across the country.

Now a Gold Logie Nominee, Helliar makes people laugh four nights a week on Network Ten’s The Project, a news show where the news is delivered differently.

The Sunday Mail said of Helliar, “Give Peter Helliar a stage, a microphone, some bright lights and a captive audience and he shows why he is one of the nation’s favourite comedians”.

O’Neil has been performing comedy for more than 25 years and is an accomplished radio host and tv presenter and holds the record for appearances on the hit ABC TV show Spicks and Specks, appearing over 50 times.

The Age described O’Neil as “One of our most accomplished stand-ups”.

The night will be hosted by up-and-coming comedian Evan Hocking, described by the Herald Sun as having both the material and the presence needed for stand up comedy.

Tickets are $59 and can be purchased at tickets on sale at palaisgeelong.com.
