Bank launches survey to identify what locals want

October 3, 2019 BY

The Leopold Community Bank Branch has injected more than $1.2 million back into the local community during the past decade.

LEOPOLD Community Bank is undertaking a community needs survey to help identify what locals really want in their community.
The survey is set to hit residents’ letterboxes in the coming weeks, and branch manager Craig Taylor said the Leopold Community Bank board was keen to know what residents thought the community of Leopold needed in regards to safety, education, sporting, community, environmental or infrastructure.
“In 2013, Leopold Community Bank undertook a community needs study which resulted in the identification of many community projects.
“The largest (of these) being the establishment of the Leopold Community and Learning Centre – now located in the Leopold Community Hub and also in conjunction with Club Italia negotiated the establishment of the Leopold Men’s Shed.
“With the incredible growth in Leopold over the past six years and as all of the 2013 recommendations being achieved, the Board decided that it was time to undertake another community needs survey to see what locals really want for their community.”
Mr Taylor said residents were encouraged to have their say and make a difference.
He said a recommendations report would be created by the beginning of December, with the Board discussing and hopefully implementing outcomes throughout 2020.
The survey can be completed via the paper version or online (https://communitybank.typeform.com/to/RrzfH1).
Additional copies of the survey are available at the Leopold Community Bank branch. Completed surveys can by returned to various locations around Leopold: the Leopold Community Bank branch, Leopold Primary School, Beauty Precision, RT Edgar, Leopold Community and Learning Centre and Leopold Sportsman’s Club.
Surveys are to be submitted by November 8.
